The Thida,
...a Celestial 44', is a classic ketch, 13.70 m long. She has a long keel and her very strong rig together with a weight of 17 tons makes her a safe boat even in very rough seas. The reef point with 100% genoa is at a wind speed of about 30 knots. |

Built in 1986 in Pattaya, her teak furnishing was designed for charter. Two aft- and a bow cabin provide comfort sleep for up to 6 people. In the two aft you will find a bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet and handbasin. The design of the pantry assures that one can stand safetly in all conditions. The deck and seated areas are all made from teak. The main- and mizzen sail are equipped with a conventional reef, the genoa with a roll reef. Should the wind abate, sports-manlike sailors can set the spinnaker. When there is no wind at all, or if the boat has to be maneuvered, it is equipped with a 68 HP Volvo-Penta engine. For your safety there is a life-raft, life-belts and life-jackets. The Thida is for charter with skipper only. |
